Keeping your kids entertained in the car is a common parenting issue, but a $14 Kmart product may have solved it for us! As the school holidays creep up on us and people are perhaps more likely to spend longer stints in the car, Kmart's Phone and Tablet Headrest Holder is a great way to keep your young ones entertained.

The $14 item allows kids to watch videos on the go with a phone or a tablet secured to the back of the front seat's headrest. The holder supports devices between 4.7 and 12.9 inches and can rotate 360 degrees.

Kmart shoppers have shared their thoughts on the item, with one user writing on the website, "Absolutely lifesaver for long road trips. Both kids can reach the iPad. No straining to see the screen. 10/10 recommend this product for all parents who do long distance driving."

"Works really well my daughter loves it & takes it in both cars whenever we go away holds her tablet perfectly & holds the phone perfectly too she loves that she can move it to where she wants it," another said.

"Everything that you need and want from the item," a third said. "Fit our Microsoft Surface Pro!"

"This is a great product for the car. On our long trips the kids can have their device at head level so they aren't hurting their neck looking down," someone else added.

"Easily tightens to stop device moving, especially heavier devices like iPads," another helpful reviewer shared. "Tucks away nicely when not in use and doesn’t interfere with the person sitting in front."

However, there was one issue that came up time and time again online – the Kmart Phone and Tablet Headrest Holder doesn't seem to fit in Subarus!

"Won’t fit in my Subaru but fits in most other cars," one user said, also adding some info about how the holder sits for multiple children to see the screen. "Using it on holiday and it’s mostly in the middle both kids can watch on either side with no complaints. You can also swivel it to the front to control the iPad if need be. We have it behind the driver's side so passenger can control."

"This one didn’t even fit between my headrests so had to return it! Not sure what cars it’s designed for… but obv not a Subaru Forester!" another said. "I assumed all headrest supports were a standard width, but it was 0.5cm too narrow for this holder."

One person also shared that it "broke easily", which isn't what you want to hear if you're hoping for some peace and quiet on your road trip.

If you want to check out other options, there are also some available on Amazon, but prices differ from brand to brand, and some are just $20.
