Parts of Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory have now joined Sydney in lockdown as the country grapples with multiple Covid outbreaks.

With masks back on and millions of Aussies ordered to stay at home, a few shopping essentials have been making it onto people’s lockdown lists, including a $15 item from Kmart.

Hygiene station

Hand hygiene is once again front of mind, and contactless soap dispensers make sure all the germs get washed away rather than left on the pump of your dispenser.

Kmart has a $15 battery powered model that can be used with soap or hand sanitiser, but it can’t be filled with foaming soap.

Masking up

Barnaby Joyce just picked himself up a $200 fine after he was spotted paying for petrol in Armidale without a face mask on, in breach of the NSW health order currently in place.

Reusable cloth masks are a great alternative to burning through endless disposable ones, and there are a number on sale at the moment.

Cotton On says its reusable cotton masks can filter ‘at least 90% of airborne particles’ and are tested to a KN90 standard. They’re usually $10 each but you can currently pick up three for $20.

Adairs has a special on its 100 percent linen masks which are available in white, black, brown, pink and grey, and currently on sale for $15 from $25.

Meanwhile, for something a little more fashionable, Kenzo’s three pack of masks have been reduced to $55 from $110.

Keeping cosy

Winter’s in full swing, but you don’t have to choose between sky-high heating bills or freezing to death while working from home.

There’s been an explosion in comfy and cosy loungewear options over the past couple of years, so finding a warm set of trackie dacks has never been easier - or more on trend.

Uniqlo has a set of fluffy women’s loungewear alla Kim Kardashian-West for $80 and a knitted men’s fleece set on sale for $40.

This Weekend Collective cropped fleece sweater is super warm for $44 and has a matching set of tracksuit pants for $40, with both reduced by 20 percent with the code EOFYS.

If you’re not ready to surrender to matching trackies just yet, fleece-lined leggings are a great way to keep your legs warm and Cotton On has a pair for $40.

Meanwhile, on TikTok, lots of people have been pulling out their Oodies and wrapping themselves up in wearable blankets.

Oodie has $25 off a number of its designs at the moment, while Bonds has a similar wearable blanket that’s currently 50 percent off, down to $45.
