Marnie and Kal married in April.

Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz didn't need a book of spells to make their wedding magical.

Speaking with E! News, Brown revealed that there was a nod to Halloweentown featured in her April wedding to her former costar. "We blew up one of the pictures that we have of Marnie and Kal together from the stills that we took then and we put it next to one of our engagement photos," shared Brown.

"It showed the progression," she added. "We had to put a little nod in there because it's the reason we met and the reason that we still get to enjoy meeting fans to this day and are still working together. It's the ultimate blessing to get to have fun and more spend more time and work with your spouse. It's just best."

It was also a Cromwell family affair. Brown shared that Judith Hoag, who played her mother in the Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, was in attendance at the intimate ceremony, held at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, Calif.

Brown is best known for her role as Marnie Piper, a teenage girl who learns that she comes from a line of powerful witches, in 1998's Halloweentown and the sequels that followed. She met her future husband on set of the second film, 2001's Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Kountz played Kal, a warlock who, alongside his villainous father, concocts a plan to steal the witches' book of spells in an effort to rule not just Halloweentown but the human world.

Two more sequels followed, with Brown divisively recast in the fourth and final installment. The franchise also starred the late Debbie Reynolds as Marnie's grandmother Aggie Cromwell, Joey Zimmerman as her brother Dylan, Emily Roeske as youngest sister Sophie, and Phillip Van Dyke as goblin Luke.

Though Brown and Kountz met on set, they didn't begin dating until after reconnecting in 2016 to film a Halloweentown parody sketch for Brown's YouTube channel. They got engaged in June 2022, delighting aging millennials everywhere. "We worked on the sketches but also started catching feelings, I guess, as the kids say," Brown previously told PEOPLE of the courtship.

Added Kountz, "We met up at a bar, and I was waiting there for a little Kimberly J. Brown to come in, and in walks a beautiful, well-put-together full-grown woman. I was like, 'Oh, well, hello there. I believe we've both grown up a little bit.' Then that was pretty much it for me. I was smitten."
