The Good American co-founder, 40, opens up about welcoming her son via surrogate on this week's episode of The Kardashians, sharing that she was worried it would seem like she was springing a new sibling onto her daughter True, now 6.
Reflecting on when she welcomed her son, Khloé calls it a "very different situation" than when she was pregnant and gave birth to True.
"It was so scary, and then also just such a guilty time, because I didn’t have that connection or anything like that. But I also felt really terrible that I didn’t get to walk True through it all," the mom of two says. "Like she didn’t get to see somebody pregnant, or I just sprung it on her, like, ‘Here’s a baby!’ Cause I didn’t really know what to do.”

In a confessional, Kardashian explains that she didn't have that instant spark of a connection with Tatum that she felt when she had True.
“My experience connecting with Tatum is so different than my experience I had with True. And I do think it was a storm of either traumas or emotions," she says. "I mean I knew he was my son and I loved him and I took care of him, but I just did not have that instinctual feeling that I had with True instantly.”
"But I knew I was going to get there," she insists. "I didn’t think Tatum was going to be 5 years old and I would have no attachment to him. I never thought that at all. I simply was really mad at myself."
During the season 3 finale of The Kardashians in 2023, Kardashian shared more about the progress she'd made bonding with Tatum after revealing some of the struggles she faced with Tatum during his first few months.
"Bonding with Tatum has definitely gotten easier," the mom said in the episode.
In a previous episode, Kardashian opened up about her experiences with the newborn while talking to mom Kris Jenner.
"Compare it to True and him, it’s a different experience," Kardashian admitted. "The connection ... took days with True. With him, it's taking months and we still don’t have a complete bond."
She admitted to feeling guilty about her struggles and said she questions “why isn’t it the same?"
New episodes of The Kardashians premiere Thursdays on Hulu.
