Kevin Costner is offering the “littlest” life advice to his fans.

On Friday, Sept. 20, the Academy Award winner played a few songs with his band Modern West at the star-studded One805Live! charity concert at his residence in Carpinteria, Calif., when he introduced one song in particular with a powerful message of encouragement.

Before performing the song “I Can’t Do This Without You,” the 69-year-old Yellowstone star told fans in attendance that, when in relationships, people "sometimes" forget to say just "one thing."

"The person to our right, you know, the one that gets us through everything, your sweetheart, your wife, your whatever it is," Costner said. "But sometimes, you know, we see everything and we just kind of forget to just say that one thing: You're important."

Costner encouraged his crowd to "let them know that," before adding that, "in life sometimes it’s just the littlest thing."

"What’s so f— hard about going, you know, 'You're important, you've been important for a long time,' " he said. "Sometimes you gotta search and so that's what this song is about.”

The charity event also featured performances from Pink, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx and others — with additional attendees including Prince Harry, Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, Zoe Saldaña, Jeff Bridges, Rob Lowe and Sheryl Lowe.

Modern West's set also included a performance of song “Chasing the Wind” as well as a cover of The Turtles’ 1967 classic “Happy Together.”

The show helped raise funds for the local fire, police and sheriff departments, as proceeds will be going toward equipment and mental health resources.

Costner also hasn't been shy lately when it comes to offering some life lessons to his 17-year-old son Cayden. Earlier this month, the Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 2 star spoke with Hollywood Authentic about creating the movie with his son, which he described as "a perfect experience."

"He’s seen me labor over the course of this movie. For his entire life he’s known that I’ve talked about this thing," Costner, a dad of seven children, said of Cayden. "And then to see me not let go of the opportunity, and the hope of it, and to actually go out and make two of them – he was able to see the culmination of that."

"It’s a weird thing when you look at your dad, I think, and see suddenly this movie playing, and the people standing and clapping for it," he added. "I think, maybe, he saw something in not letting go of a dream, and that you keep pushing."

Costner shares Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14, with his now-estranged wife, designer Christine Baumgartner. He's also dad to Annie, 40, Lily, 37, and Joe, 36, whom he shares with ex-wife Cindy Silva, as well as son Liam, 26, who he shares with former partner Bridget Rooney.
