ICYMI, Saturday Night Live celebrated its 50th anniversary of the show and truly pulled out all the stops. It was a star-studded event over multiple days filled with show alums, previous hosts, and just about anyone who has ever been involved with the series. We're talking Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Meryl Streep, Eddie Murphy, Pedro Pascal, Chris Rock—the list goes on.
While the show's famous skits provided enough entertainment to get through the rest of the month, it was the homecoming concert that really took the cake for us. And, if we want to get really specific, one of our favorite moments was Cher's iconic performance...and Kevin Costner's reaction to it.
At 78, the powerhouse singer gave a thrilling performance of "If I Could Turn Back Time" at Radio City Music Hall. The high-energy song had everyone in attendance out of their seats and dancing. But, when the camera showed Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner in the crowd, well, let's just say it gave fans lots to talk about.
"Find you someone that looks at you the way Kevin Costner looks at Cher," said one person. "Every human in the room was in awe of her… Kevin proves that" and "Kevin Costner was all of us ❤️🔥❤️🔥," wrote others.
Costner was caught admiring the "Believe" singer in total awe of her stardom. With his hands on his head and a smirking stare, the actor, like everyone else in the crowd, was in an absolute trance because Cher just has that effect on people.
Later that weekend, the Yellowstone actor and singer sat next to each other in the star-studded audience for the NBC show's 50th anniversary special. The pair was spotted in the crowd during Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's audience Q&A segment.
Costner sported a sleek, all-black suit while Cher looked stunning in a fur jacket, bedazzled dress, and hair that certainly made a statement. We just wish we were a fly on the wall to see these two hit it off IRL.
