Kerri-Anne Kennerley has shared the heartbreaking news of her mum's death at the age of 99.

The 67-year-old TV host took to her Instagram account to post an emotional message announcing the news of Grace’s death.

“This morning we lost our beautiful dancing queen, always elegant and graceful,” she said.

“She is now up there dancing with dad and John. We will always love you Mum.”

Kerri-Anne and her mother were extremely close, with the star uploading numerous tributes to Grace over the years.

On Mother’s Day in 2019 she wrote: “Mum has been through the drepression, World War 2, gave a wonderful life to 4 kids and supported her devoted husband. At 98 her light still shines. Sending my love to the mums and motherly figures out there.”

The sad news comes just two years after the death of Kerri-Anne's beloved husband John Kennerley, who passed away in 2019.

John was left paralysed after a freak fall in 2016 when he slipped off a balcony at Bonville Golf Resort in Coffs Harbour.

"John has faced some tremendous challenges over the past few years and with each he has been extraordinarily brave and determined to overcome those hurdles and live a normal life," Kerri-Ann said when she announced his death.

"John passed away peacefully with his son Simon and I by his side. John, you were the love of my life."
