Kendrick Lamar Becomes an Instant Meme After Super Bowl Halftime Show
Kendrick Lamar is being humbled following his animated performance at Super Bowl LIX.
Immediately following the 37-year-old rapper's halftime show at Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans, fans took to social media to share their opinions on the routine and the live mashups. But one moment of Lamar on stage—captured in a photograph—quickly became popular as fans realized they could use the image to tell all sorts of stories.
In case you missed it, the Grammy winner had a few surprises up his sleeve, including SZA, with whom he performed "luther" and "All the Stars." Lamar also brought out tennis legend Serena Williams and record producer Dijon Isaiah McFarlane—AKA Mustard.
But the viral moment in question didn't focus on anyone other than the Pulitzer Prize winner, who could be seen staring down the camera as he moved across the stage wearing a black t-shirt, leather motorcycle-style bomber jacket and boot-cut jeans as he performed "Not Like Us."
One called back to a viral tweet poking fun at Lamar during his Grammy acceptance speech last week, teasing that the rapper might be the "biggest hater" for writing the Grammy's most decorated diss track, but he'll always look "like a cute cinnamon roll."
"cutie patootie," they wrote.

"if i text you this just know you’re cooked," another quipped before someone else suggested, "if I send this to u it means not only am I celebrating ur downfall, I orchestrated it.
"Kendrick’s jeans are 90s teen/ elder millennial representation," a fourth joked.
Another added, "imagine your opp being a cutie patootie in flared jeans like kendrick lamar."
"The face of a true chaotic good," a different fan wrote. "Kendrick is a menace."
"feels so good to know that no matter how bad of a day you might be having, kendrick gone make sure drake is having a worse one," one more mocked.
