Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are reflecting on buying their first home — and the regrets that came with it.

The longtime couple and LIVE with Kelly and Mark co-hosts opened up about the "buyer's remorse" they experienced after purchasing their home.

"Every time you get your offer accepted on a house, you're like, ooh. Buyer's remorse," Consuelos, 53, said on Thursday's episode, per EW.

Ripa, also 53, opened up about the stress the pair felt.

"I remember when we bought our first home, and we immediately regretted it," she shared. "I remember when we went in to sign all of the deeds and whatever we were signing at the closing, the real estate broker said, 'I can tell you're new homeowners.'"

"She said, 'You look burdened.'"

Ripa and Consuelos first met in 1995, during the audition process for All My Children. Consuelos was hired to play Ripa's love interest on the soap opera, and after less than a year of dating, they eloped in Las Vegas in 1996. They have since welcomed three children together — Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 21.

Although this is the first time the pair have opened up about the home-buying process, they often share bits of their current home on social media.

Just last month, Ripa gave her Instagram Stories viewers a glimpse of the couple's luxurious bedroom in their New York City home after they arrived home from a TIME Magazine event.

The bedroom features a massive bed with seating at the foot, lush gray carpeting, a textural feature wall and an impressive chandelier hanging over the bed.

In 2023, the family showed off another angle of their massive bedroom when Ripa shared a photo of Consuelos lounging on their bed.

Their sleeping area at the time featured a neutral headboard and a beige settee at the foot. They also incorporated a pop of color into the room with a quirky throw pillow that reads "I want to be where the people aren't" — a cheeky reference to the iconic line from Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Earlier in April this year, the pair celebrated the arrival of spring with a rooftop dinner, showing off their views of the city skyline and a glimpse of an al fresco meal she shared with her husband atop their home via her Instagram.

“First rooftop dinner of spring with @instasuelos,” Ripa wrote over a shot of Consuelos gesturing to the food on the table with a smile. In the background, viewers can see the New York City skyline illuminated by golden hour light.
