Kelly Ripa says she and Mark Consuelos ‘immediately regretted’ buying their first house together

The "Live" cohost recalled a real estate agent's hilarious assessment of the couple's emotional state while signing paperwork for their first home.

Before they both occupied morning TV real estate next to each other as Live cohosts, TV personalities and real-life spouses Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos admittedly struggled to come to terms with owning their first home together as a married couple.

Ripa and Consuelos first married in 1996 after meeting as costars on All My Children, and Ripa revealed on Thursday's episode of the talk show that their first venture into property ownership as a united pair wasn't the easiest move they made in their 28-year relationship.

"Every time you get your offer accepted on a house, you're like, ooh. Buyer's remorse," Consuelos said, prompting Ripa to recount what happened when they bought their home years ago.

"I remember when we bought our first home, and we immediately regretted it. I remember when we went in to sign all of the deeds and whatever we were signing at the closing, the real estate broker said, 'I can tell you're now homeowners,'" the 53-year-old recalled. "She said, 'You look burdened.'"

Ripa and Consuelos eventually shifted locations, though they previously recounted a hilarious incident with their Long Island neighbors.

"It's interesting, our neighbors, who, they're fine, out on Long Island, they complained about a Halloween party back in 1999. The party was from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It was a kids' party," Consuelos said on an October episode of Live, to which Ripa added, "It was a kids' party, and we got a noise complaint from our friendly neighbors."

Consuelos also lamented the fact that the same neighbors currently play pickleball for hours on end.

Though they might've lightly grappled with owning a home in the early stages of their marriage, Ripa and Consuelos' personal and professional relationship is going strong. The pair recently traveled to the same Las Vegas chapel where they secretly married nearly three decades ago (before Wendy Williams broke the news to her listeners) to officiate a wedding for a new, young couple.
