Kelly Osbourne Uses Breathing Device in Video Revealing Current Health Crisis

Kelly Osbourne is "sick again" and unfortunately, the TV personality was forced to use a device to help with her breathing while dealing with a respiratory issue.

As revealed in new photos shared via Instagram Stories, The Osbournes alum seems to be kicking off the new year on a bit of a rough note, announcing that she has "developed pneumonia."

Pneumonia, according to the Mayo Clinic, is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs, causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. The condition can range in severity from mild to life-threatening.

The 40-year-old's duo of social media posts show a photo of a thermometer displaying a 100-degree temperature, alongside footage of the former reality TV star using what looks to be a PEP (positive expiratory pressure) device—which helps air move through the lungs and keeps them expanded—or some version of an incentive spirometer—a handheld device that helps with practicing taking deep breaths and measures how much air you can inhale—for treatment.

It's unclear what specific method of therapy Osbourne is using in the capture, as she did not disclose specific details in the health update.

But from the looks of it, it's not her first bout with illness, if her included caption is anything to judge by.

"How is this happening? How an [sic] I sick again?" she wrote over the photo of the thermometer, before revealing the video of her from a doctor's office with the device in her mouth, which displayed text reading, "So I me have developed pneumonia."

Just last month, Osbourne shared that she and her 2-year-old son, Sidney, were diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) while the young tot was also battling a double ear infection. Here's to hoping she makes a quick recovery during the often troubling sick season!
