Keke Palmer Is Calling Out Gen-Z For Nitpicking Millennials, And I'm Happy To See It

Millennial icon and actress Keke Palmer is calling out Gen-Z in a video she recently posted on TikTok. And respectfully, she's asking a lot of questions that I would also like the answers to.

Yes, I'm a millennial. Thanks for asking.

While getting her hair done, Palmer starts the video by jokingly expressing her disappointment in Gen-Z. “I never thought I’d see the day that ya’ll tried to get millennials outta here. The way that ya’ll are gunning for us, it has to be stopped," she said.

She goes on to explain that she's just learned about a concept called "the millennial zoom." "Since when was zooming too much?? What did Gen-Z do? Do they do no editing? They don't use any of the editing tools that are in any of the applications?" she asked.

"I’m tired. I’m only 31. I never thought that y'all would try to close the lights on millennials like this," Keke said.

"And then, I hear some people hanging on trying to call themselves 'zillennials'? You can’t be both. I won’t get over this."

In the comments of Keke's video, millennials rallied around her to defend themselves as the generation that everyone seems to be obsessed with. "millennials have been the main character longer than any generation. It's unprecedented."

They even went as far as to name themselves after possibly one of the most famous millennial movie characters of all time. "millennial are the Regina George of generations YOU CANT STOP US!!!!"

Some people joked about other random things Gen-Z continues to call millennials out for. "They been calling us old for a HOT MINUTE Keke they said we dance with our hands up and wear no-show socks"

Ok, I cackled at this because yes, but also, rude!

There were also people who wondered if Gen-Z actually even knows how old (a.k.a. young) millennials truly are. "I think yall confuse millennials with gen x a lot"

And the zillennials entered the chat to confirm that they're a real generation. "Ma'am I was born in 96 the millennials don't claim me nor does gen z, they gasp when I say what year I was born. I'm BOTH"

What do you think? Is Gen-Z too tough on millennials, or are millennials the Regina George of generations? Let us know in the comments!
