Keith Urban Details 'Crazy Moment' When He Encountered Unusual Fan Request

When you’ve been in the music industry for as long as Keith Urban has, you’re bound to run into some unusual requests from fans.

But even another long-time music star was shocked after the “Somebody Like You” singer detailed a “crazy moment” that happened in the middle of a concert.

It all started when the Australian singer appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Dec. 9 and he got to chatting about life on the road.

Host Kelly Clarkson asked Urban if there had ever been any moments that “went awry” during a tour and Urban had an anecdote ready to go that made the American Idol winner go speechless.

He began by saying that he was playing a show years ago when someone asked for an autograph. “This girl yells out from the audience ‘will you sign my leg?’ and I went ‘oh, of course! What a great moment!’”

Urban then explained that he invited the girl to approach the stage, but “she disappears, I couldn’t see her, then she pops up out of the same spot she is and she throws this prosthetic leg up on stage. And this leg just landed with a thud!”

“That is incredible,” declared Clarkson as Urban continued his story. “So I picked the leg up and I’m signing the leg and then I’m like ‘how do I get it back to her?’” said Urban before miming an overhand throw, as if he was planning to toss it back into the crowd.

Clarkson suggested that he could try to “make it crowd surf on the way back,” which Urban admitted was close to what he did in the moment.

“That’s kind of what I did! So I gave it to the audience and they just surfed it back,” Urban said animatedly, revealing that the fan then “hooked it on.”

“She’s rock and roll!” exclaimed Clarkson before declaring, “I want to have a drink with her!”
