Katy Perry Zips Into Balenciaga’s Baggage-like Dress With QR Code Body Art for Paris Fashion Week Spring 2025 Show
Katy Perry zipped into an all-black monochrome look for Balenciaga’s show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday. The former “American Idol” judge joined celebrities and A-list guests like Ashley Graham and Nicole Kidman in the front row for the spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection.
For the occasion, Perry opted for an illusion dress, featuring a bevy of zippers. The dress created a certain effect that made both the bodice and skirt of the dress appear like pieces of luggage and bags, complete with straps.

At least four zippers were featured on the bodice of Perry’s dress, creating the illusion of pockets, pouches and purses. The skirt of Perry’s dress mirrored a duffel bag, including large straps extending from each side of Perry’s frame.
The dress was paired with dramatic pointed-toe black stiletto boots. She also wore a pair of futuristic shades to complete the look. Perry’s sleeveless dress also offered an opportunity for the singer to show off her various tattoos and body art, including a QR code that appeared on the palm of one of her hands.
Perry, a longtime friend of the French luxury fashion house, has shown her support for Balenciaga recently. The “Woman’s World” singer attended Balenciaga’s fall 2024 couture show during Paris Fashion Week last June.
For the couture showcase, Perry opted for a large black coat with exaggerated long sleeves, collar and lapels. The collar of the voluminous coat was turned up behind Perry’s neck and fit the singer in such a way to slightly expose her topless torso. The singer paired the look with ripped black tights, completing the edgy sartorial statement.
Along with her appearances to fashion week in support of Balenciaga, Perry styled pieces from the French luxury fashion house during her time as a judge on “American Idol.” Last April, Perry wore a sparkling suited look by the fashion house, which also featured an all-black color scheme.
