Katy Perry Said She Manifested Her Relationship With Orlando Bloom
It involved rose quartz and a full moon.
Say what you want about the magic of manifesting, because Katy Perry swears that it's exactly what she needed to do to find real love. In a recent interview on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music 1, she spoke about how after a bit of luck and a new outlook on her love life, she landed in the loving arms of her now-fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
The meet-cute is basically a Hollywood fairy tale: the two met at the Golden Globes and fought over In-N-Out, but speaking to Lowe, Perry said that there was much more to the night than simply crossing paths with a pirate and craving a burger.
When Lowe described the relationship as "life-changing," Perry agreed, saying that she'd found herself in a "loop" of bad behavior and right before she stepped out for the Globes, she decided to make a change, which involved shifting her mindset and grabbing some crystals.
"Actually, when I met him almost nine years ago, before I met him, I was stuck in a bad, continuing loop. And then, so I was like, 'Fuck this.' I was like, 'I'm going to go swim in a different pond. I want to try something else. I'm going to say yes to something I wouldn't normally say yes," she said of the situation. "But before I go to the Golden Globes, which I was like...But I was like, 'I'll do it. I want to go see what's out there in the world.' And I was like, 'But I'm going to set so many intentions. On this full moon, I'm going to write out exactly what I want. I'm going to wear a rose quartz dress to attract the love that I want.'"
She went on to share exactly what she wrote, so Katy Cats should take note if they're looking to find life-changing love for themselves: "And the two things I wrote down very specifically is I want someone to meet me in the adventure department, because I love adventure. I mean, we just jumped out of a helicopter together."
Perry and Lowe went on to discuss when she knew Bloom was the perfect match, with Perry saying that she realized after the fling became a "seven-day a-week relationship," which the superstar singer described as hard, not some sort of rom-com fantasy.
"You just know after spending time with them, after living with them, after they move in. There's no hiding. It's a seven-day-a-week relationship," she said. "Friday, Saturday, Sunday relationships, those are easy. And then what gets revealed when you have a child. I mean, life is not peachy keen, jelly bean. It's about who you are in those really challenging moments. And I get to see who he is in those challenging moments. And it's why I chose him."
Bloom and Perry share a 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. Bloom also has a 13-year-old son, Flynn, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
