It's a woman's world and Katy Perry is living in it. The controversial song has its fair share of critics, but Perry's fashion is another matter entirely. Just take her latest look, which featured a spin one of this year's biggest trends—namely, going pantsless.

The singer was spotted stepping out of the BBC studios in London yesterday evening where she had been filming an appearance on The One Show, wearing a playful, sexy 'fit. On the top, she donned a tight silvery gray turtleneck top with short capped sleeves. On the bottom, she opted for a daring black lace maxi skirt that revealed her bare legs below. She added another striking touch to her look, wearing black boots with a sharp square toe—please note how the geometric shoes match her crisp square French tip nails. She accessorized with a black leather handbag, pearl drop earrings, and a pair of black square sunglasses (at night, naturally). During her appearance on the British talk show, Perry can be seen wearing bold bright blue cat eye makeup below her shades.

Perry spoke about her daughter with partner Orlando Bloom, Daisy, on the show, revealing that she is already becoming a Katy Perry fan. "She actually just started singing 'Roar,' and she's belting it with her whole body," Perry said. Apparently, Daisy has also recently learned Perry's 2010 song "Peacock," which is famous for its suggestive lyrics. "Now I know what every parent went through in 2008. And I'm sorry for that," the singer said in a mock-somber tone.

Sometimes, Perry revealed, her daughter will call her by her full stage name just to get her attention. "She'll go, 'Katy Perry!'" the singer explained. "And I'm like, 'No! Don't call me that!'"

Perry, who lives with her family in Santa Barbara, also dropped the news that she has been thinking about spending even more time across the pond. "[London] is one of my favourite places beyond Santa Barbara, where I live," she said. "Orlando and I spent so much time in London and lately we have been thinking about maybe splitting our time. We love it so much."

Perry's latest lacy, racy pantsless look is far from her first daring fashion statement. Earlier this month, Perry adopted another bold trend, dressing like a chic pirate in a Miu Miu bandana two-piece during a day out on a boat. In June, she stepped out in Paris wearing a structural leather dress with large, skin-baring geometric cut-outs and another outfit consisting of ripped black tights, heels, a giant fur coat and—well—nothing else . Then there's her album cover for the upcoming 413, which sees Perry wearing a see-through, plastic-like bodice.
