'Poh's trying to kill me': Katy Perry set to cause a stir in the MasterChef kitchen

She’s been singing the theme tune for the show for the past ten years and tonight, superstar Katy Perry is set to appear in the MasterChef kitchen.

In a teaser for tonight’s episode, the pregnant Hot N Cold singer can be seen choking and bending over after tasting contestant Poh Ling Yeow’s dish.

In fact, it seems Poh’s dish may have been so spicy that judge Melissa Leong can be heard shouting out for someone to get the singer a drink of water.

“Me and my unborn child are ready to eat,” Katy can be heard saying in the promo, telling the contestants that they “better make my baby kick”.

“Oh this is going to give you that hit,” Poh says, before Katy tastes a bit of her rendang.

Next minute Katy can be seen coughing, with her eyes streaming from the heat of the dish.

“Poh’s trying to kill me, literally,” the star jokes.

Katy Perry was in Australia at the beginning of March, just before coronavirus lockdown restrictions were put in place.

The superstar put on a free concert to honour Australian firefighters and won over a legion of fans after performing at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Katy is currently isolating in LA with her hubby-to-be Orlando Bloom, where she recently spoke about being excited to become a first-time mum.

As part of the virtual festival for the SHEIN Together livestream, she said: "I want to wish all the mothers a Happy Mother's Day and I am so excited. And I think ready to join your club. I hope you are doing well and staying safe."
