Kathy Hilton Shares the Creative Way She Puts Her 8 Grandkids to Work on the Holidays (Exclusive)
"Hopefully they don't run around and break things," she joked to PEOPLE
Kathy Hilton has some tips and tricks up her sleeve for entertaining her grandkids during the holidays.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her partnership with DIRECTV to celebrate the season with Christmas at Kathy's, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 65, shared that she has a few ideas in mind for fun activities to do with her grandkids during the family-filled celebrations.
"We're the grandparents, so we don't make too many rules. Hopefully, they don't run around and break things," Kathy jokes of her eight grandkids. "I like to give them little projects. So we'll be making cookies, they'll be decorating donuts."

"Dunkin' Donuts is sending me some of the glaze and the little sprinkles, so the kids will actually be able to dip their little donut holes in and paint them. And then, we have it out on a big sheet."
She also likes to create some art projects for the grandkids to work on while the family is chatting away.
"I put out big plastic sheets, and then I put the little easels, and they like to paint, and put little rhinestones and glitter," she says. "And Paris likes to get out there and do that as well. Her kids are too young to do that, but she'll help. She, and I, and Nikki will do that with the older girls."
Kathy is grandma to daughter Paris' two kids, London, 12 months, and Phoenix, 22 months; daughter Nicky's daughters Lily-Grace, 8, Theodora "Teddy," 6, and son Chasen, 2; and son Barron's kids Milou, 4, Caspian, 2, and Apollo, 8 months.
In June, Kathy told PEOPLE that she's happiest as a grandmother — and she cherishes any time she gets to spend with her growing family.
"I feel so fulfilled," she told PEOPLE, of having so many grandkids. "Eight grandchildren. Can you imagine? I say right now is the happiest time of my life."
"Nothing makes me happier than to have all of my children and the grandchildren under one roof," she added.
She said she especially loves watching Hilton Rothschild's daughters when they're visiting in Los Angeles and come to her place for slumber parties.
"They come here and we do a sleepover and we put down a little bed — we make them a little feather bed with blankies and all of that. And they have a sleepover with us on the floor, Papa and I. And that way Nicky and James can sleep in a little in the morning," Kathy said.
She joked, "We're going to need more space, I tell you! Especially for family trips."
