Kate Middleton Takes on First Engagement After Cancer Treatment With Special Project
Kate Middleton is slowly stepping back into her royal duties, taking on her first official engagement since announcing that she finished cancer treatment.
For her first day back on the job, Kate focused on a very special project for her, the early years childhood project, which has previously been called her "life's work," according to The Independent.
The royal princess took part in a meeting with her team at the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood and Kensington Palace staff, with The Telegraph reporting, “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle."
The report shared no further details about what went on in the meeting, but it's significant since it's the start of her return to royal duties following the royal family's touching video on Sept. 9 announcing her major health update. Along with this, the early years childhood project is allegedly very personal and important to Princess Kate.
When she launched the official campaign called Shaping Us in early 2023, Kate gave a speech and described the project, saying, "The campaign is fundamentally about shining a spotlight on the critical importance of early childhood and how it shapes the adults we become."
Whenever she was well enough to work at home during her cancer treatment, Kate got updates about the early childhood program, as reported by The Telegraph.
While this is an exciting development for the 42-year-old, her future engagements remain up in the air.
The Times reported that Kate might make an appearance at the National Service of Remembrance on Nov. 10, while the annual “Together at Christmas” carol service, which Kate has hosted for the past three years, is allegedly continuing this year as usual.
