Kate Middleton Sightings and When You Can Expect to See Princess Catherine Next

Kate Middleton sightings have been few and far between since Christmas 2023, but she's hinted we'll see more of her soon.

The first public appearance from Princess Catherine since her cancer diagnosis came on June 15, 2024, at the Trooping the Colour. It was a long-awaited moment, as Kate had been lying very low since her abdominal surgery and cancer diagnosis in January.

The Princess of Wales said in a June 14 announcement that she'd likely participate in some royal engagements over the summer depending on how she was feeling as she continues to undergo chemotherapy treatments. Here are the most recent Princess Catherine sightings so far.

June 15, 2024: Kate Middleton appears on the royal balcony at the Trooping the Colour.

Princess Catherine made her first official quasi-comeback appearance at the Trooping the Colour on June 15, 2024.

Just before appearing on the royal balcony with her husband, kids, and in-laws, Princess Catherine and Prince Louis rode in a carriage to the festivities and greeted well-wishers and onlookers. It was the first time the public saw Catherine in a working royal capacity since December 2023.

June 14, 2024: Kate Middleton announces she will attend the Trooping the Colour.

Princess Catherine rocked long waves, jeans, a tan plaid blazer, a white shirt, white sneakers and delicate earrings in a photo of herself under a tall tree in an announcement that she'd attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony the following day.

"My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home," she wrote. "I'm looking forward to attending The King's Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

May 28, 2024: Kate Middleton sightings are reported, though photographs are scant.

PEOPLE reported on May 28, 2024, that Princess Catherine was seen out with her family as well as running errands alone. There weren't any photos of the outings.

March 22, 2024: Kate Middleton announces she has cancer.

Princess Catherine announced in an Instagram video on March 22, 2024, that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer. She didn't specify what type of cancer she had, but noted that the "major abdominal surgery" she underwent in January was successful. She said that at the time of the surgery, it was believed her condition (which hasn't been disclosed) was non-cancerous, but that tests performed post-op indicated that "cancer had been present."

In the video, she said she had just begun undergoing the preventative chemotherapy treatments advised by her medical team.

March 17, 2024: There is a Kate Middleton sighting at a shop in Windsor with Prince William.

The Sun reported that Princess Catherine and Prince William were spotted watching their kids play sports, followed by a couple's trip to the Windsor Farm Shop.

“Kate was out shopping with William and she looked happy and she looked well," a witness told the outlet. "The kids weren't with them, but it's such a good sign she was healthy enough to pop down to the shops."

A second witness told TMZ (which obtained video footage of the Waleses shopping), "I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere. I went to my car and as they came out of the shop I just filmed them. I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn't see a car. I just wanted to share with my family footage and show just how normal they were."

March 4, 2024: There is a Kate Middleton sighting near Windsor Castle — the first Princess Catherine sighting since her hospitalization in January.

Princess Catherine and her mother, Carole Middleton, were spotted in a car near Windsor Castle. The Princess of Wales wore sunglasses and sat in the passenger seat while Carole drove.

Dec. 25, 2023: Kate Middleton appears at the royal Christmas service at Sandringham with her family.

In what would be the final Princess Catherine sighting for months, she appeared at the annual royal Christmas service at Sandringham with the rest of the working royal family.
