Kate Middleton's royally red Zara blazer has a special meaning

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge delighted football fans when they cheered on team England during Tuesday's nail-biting Euro 2020 match against Germany at Wembley Stadium.

Royal in red

The royal couple was joined in the stands by their eldest son, seven-year-old Prince George, who was his father William's adorable mini-me in a matching navy suit and blue and red tie.

As the future Queen of England, Kate made sure to pull out all the stops in a patriotic red blazer to show her support for her national team.

Staying true to her love of cheap and cheerful high-street brands, Kate's chic jacket — which featured a tweed texture and luxe gold buttons — was a Zara buy.

The duchess, 39, paired her chain store find with black trousers and a white top, leaving her signature bouncy brown curls loose.

The Cambridges were joined in the stands by singer Ed Sheeran and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, as well as David Beckham and his son, Romeo.

It was a happy day for the Brits as England defeated long-time rivals Germany 2-0, knocking them out of the competition.

After the match, the Duke and Duchess's official Twitter account shared a picture of their celebrations with the message: "Incredible performance, England!"
