Kate Middleton is planning for the holidays!

The Princess of Wales — who revealed on Sept. 9 that she had finished her chemotherapy treatment — has been looking ahead to her annual Christmas carol service.

And today, PEOPLE can confirm, it will go ahead in December — and be shown on TV in the U.K. on Christmas Eve.

Kate, 42, held a meeting at Windsor Castle on Sept. 24 with members of her team from Kensington Palace and the Royal Foundation, which she shares with her husband Prince William, 42, to discuss the plans. It raises the prospect that she and her family — including children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — will attend the service at Westminster Abbey.

It will be the fourth carol service held by Princess Kate. She uses the occasion to highlight and thank causes and charities close to both her and William's hearts.

Kate's meeting on Sept. 24 was listed in the court circular — the official rundown of duties the royal family undertakes — which is published in U.K. newspapers including The Times. It read simply: "The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held a Meeting at Windsor Castle."

It was her second meeting to have been officially listed in just over a week. On Sept. 17, she held another one with aides and staff from her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to discuss the progress of her ongoing mission to help children, parents and carers of the under-fives.

The latest news of Kate's work amid her recovery from cancer treatment came a few days after she and William were photographed driving to church at Crathie Kirk, near Balmoral Castle, Scotland, where they had been staying with King Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla, 77.

While she has been holding meetings with her palace officials periodically since June, these two meetings were the first ones to be listed formally.

On Sept. 9 when Kate revealed that her chemotherapy was over in an emotional video alongside her family, she said that she was “looking forward to undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months.”

At the time, those close to her said that she was likely to undertake a light program of work and that she had continued working from home, taking meetings, reading up on important happenings and making calls.

One possible outing was said to be the carol service, along with joining the King for the U.K.'s annual Remembrance Day service in London in November.

When she announced the end of her treatment, Kate said that she was taking her recovery step-by-step. “My path to healing and full recovery is long, and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said in the clip.

William appeared to reiterate that message when he told well-wishers in Llanelli, Wales on Sept. 10 that, while Kate's progress was "good news," there was "still a long way to go."
