Kate Middleton Made a Rare Public Appearance at Wimbledon with Princess Charlotte

They had a girls' day out with Pippa Middleton.

Kate Middleton made her second public appearance of the year a family affair at Wimbledon. On Sunday, July 14, the Princess of Wales was all smiles as she was joined by Princess Charlotte and her sister, Pippa Middleton, for the men’s final. Kate was spotted sitting courtside in the Royal Box as she watched Novak Djokovic face off against Carlos Alcaraz.

As the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Princess Kate is an avid tennis fan and made plans to attend the match amidst her ongoing cancer treatment. She made her highly-anticipated appearance in royal purple, wearing a short-sleeved midi-length dress from Safiyaa with a full skirt and pleats on the bodice. A black pin representing the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club adorned the left side of her chest. The royal let the striking hue of her dress take center stage, simply accessorizing with a pair of nude kitten heels, black oversized sunglasses, and drop earrings. The princess’s signature glossy blowout and elegant makeup completed her courtside look.

Like during Kate’s appearance at Trooping the Colour, her daughter was by her side as they watched the match and met tennis players Emma Raducanu, Lucy Shuker, Lily Miyazaki, Sonay Kartal, and Flora Johnson before the game. Princess Charlotte, who wore a polka-dotted blue dress and a half-up braided hairstyle, could be seen beaming with pride as her mom received a standing ovation from the crowd. Meanwhile, Pippa was an English rose in a pink floral dress with a bow around the waist and an oversized collar that draped over the bodice of the dress. Kate’s younger sister wore her hair in a half-up style like Charlotte.

Princess Charlotte’s appearance at the men’s final marked her second time at Wimbledon. The young royal made her debut at the famed tennis match last year with her big brother, Prince George, and it looks like she’s already following in her mom’s footsteps by becoming a tennis fan.
