Karl Stefanovic's kids 'did not attend' his wedding
Despite previous reports suggesting Karl Stefanovic’s three children attended his wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough last week, it seems that’s not the case.
The Today host’s ex-wife, Cassandra Thorburn, says Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 12, did fly to Mexico at the time of the nuptials, but weren’t present at the ceremony.
“They were told they never had to go. My 19-year-old has assured me they did not attend,” Cassandra tells New Idea magazine.

Kids still travelled overseas
So why were the kids in Mexico if they weren’t attending the wedding?
Cass makes reference to Karl and Jasmine’s commitment ceremony which took place in May, with previous reports suggesting the kids only learnt about the event hours before it went ahead.
“They [had] to go [to Mexico] and my eldest song went to protect them because at the commitment ceremony they tried to force my children, remember,” she says.
What happened on the wedding day
According to New Idea, Jackson, Ava and River spent the day of Karl’s wedding at their poolside villa, and Cass says Jackson and his girlfriend were only spotted at a pre-wedding party was because that party was held in the villa they were staying in”.
Jackson has since confirmed his mother’s recount of events.
“I didn’t go to the ceremony, I went to say congratulations [to Karl and Jasmine] after they’d all left the chapel but it was a lot later,” he told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
“My brother and sister didn’t want to go, and I was not going to leave them on their own so I looked after them,” he continued, explaining, “I figure at their age they may not have an understanding of watching a parent get re-married”.
Jackson, who does say stepmother Jasmine is “nice”, also said that most of his time in Mexico was spent enjoying the country with his girlfriend and “and not worrying about the wedding”.
Last week it was reported Karl’s three children would be joining him and Jasmine on their honeymoon.
“Karl and Jasmine decided that the focus should be on his kids after their wedding, so they’re being treated to a skiing holiday,” a source told the Daily Mail.
