Video transcript

- Tell me about this incredible look.

JULIA ZEMIRO: So, her name is Rachel Burke and she's in Brisbane, in Meanjin. And she made it for me for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, that I adore. And I was so happy in it, it made me feel so good, it made me feel so relaxed, that I had to wear it again. And it's warm, too, which on a winter's night will be good. And I'm nominated for a silver logie, so I've got myself a silver bag.

- I was going to say I'm a bit disappointed there's no Roz hairstyle tonight. But--

JULIA ZEMIRO: Thank you, for even noticing.

- How does it feel to be nominated?

JULIA ZEMIRO: It's-- look, it gives the show an extra lease of life. And I think that's really important, especially for shows that may have struggled, or who haven't had their moment in the sun-- and we certainly have. But just to be able to give it another little lease of life is great. So hashtag Fisk, all of that.

Sadly, Kitty's not here. My beautiful friend Kitty, who wrote the show with her sister Penny, is doing-- is doing a stand up show in Adelaide. And she went, I can't cancel that. So I will pick up the award if she wins. I'll pick up the award if I win, but it really-- it's immaterial. I'm just so thrilled that she gave me this gig, basically, yeah.

- I mean, I'm a big fan of the first two seasons. And it's exciting that it's going to be added to Netflix soon. So that'll have a whole new audience. But is there-- that's huge.

JULIA ZEMIRO: I'm a little--

- I feel-- I feel privileged.

JULIA ZEMIRO: I'm sort of late to the news of it.

- I feel privileged that I've already seen it. So everyone's going to be like, have you seen that show Fisk? And it's like, yeah. But season 3-- is there talks? Is there anything happening?

JULIA ZEMIRO: So do how seasons work? You've got to write them.

- OK.

JULIA ZEMIRO: So Kitty and Penny are tonight working, and touring a lot doing Kitty's show. So it's really about, have they written it? I also feel like season two ended on this beautiful kind of finish. She became partner, right? So-- but look, as Kitty likes to say, we're happily writing one. Who knows if it gets made? So I'm crossing all my fingers and all my toes.

- We'll see. Well, also we're asking tonight, because it is-- we're celebrating Australian TV, who or what was it that got you into the world of TV? What got you interested?

JULIA ZEMIRO: Andrew Denton had a show in the 80s called The Money or The Gun, where every week he would do-- pick a theme and do funny stuff around it. And he'd seen me playing theater sports. And he got me in to do one episode, and then I did two, and then I did three, and then he did one all around me as a character. And I thank him to this day for getting my equity card and for getting me-- I got a bit hooked on TV then. Yeah, it was great.
