Julia Stiles Reunites with “10 Things I Hate About You” Costar Larisa Oleynik — See the On-Screen Sisters Now
Oleynik supported Stiles at a New York City screening of her directorial debut, 'Wish You Were Here'
Julia Stiles and Larisa Oleynik are keeping it in the family.
The duo, who starred as fictional sisters Kat Stratford and Bianca Stratford in 1999's 10 Things I Hate About You, posed for photos together during Lionsgate's special screening of Stiles' directorial debut Wish You Were Here while at New York City's Crosby Street Hotel on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
During the event, Stiles and Oleynik, both 43, struck a pose together alongside Stiles' real-life sister Jane Stiles, as they all shared a smile.
Stiles wore a sleek baby-blue gown while Oleynik opted for a dark striped ensemble as she supported her friend's latest release.
The duo were there celebrating the release of Wish You Were Here — Stiles' latest project starring Isabelle Fuhrman, Mena Massoud, Jennifer Grey and Kelsey Grammer. Their on-screen connection dates back nearly 26 years to their hit teen romcom featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union and the late Heath Ledger, which followed high school student Cameron (Gordon-Levitt) trying to find a love interest for Stiles' character of Kat while hoping to date her younger sister, Bianca.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the event, Stiles detailed how she keeps in touch with her former costars and revealed that she'd be meeting up with her on-screen sis that night.
"I know that Larisa Oleynik is gonna be here tonight, which will be wonderful to see her," she said at the time. "We kind of, you know, the way that it's hard to keep in touch with people but over text messages."

At the time, Stiles also reflected on her role in the romcom, which she revealed was the movie she's most "recognized" for.
"Something's in the ether and I love that so much," Stiles said. "I was a 17-year-old actress auditioning and getting a lot of annoying comments like, ‘You're too serious’ or ‘You need to be sexier’ or ‘Smile more’ and I was vulnerable to it because I was still trying to figure out who I was."
"And then I read 10 Things I Hate About You and Kat Stratford was like this feisty outspoken girl who did not care what people thought about her,” she added. “So it meant a lot to me to be in that movie and that it resonates with people still is so great.”
Wish You Were Here, which is based on Renée Carlino's 2017 bestselling novel, is now in theaters.
