Jonathan Van Ness Unveils Major Transformation in New Photo After Weight Loss Medication Use
Jonathan Van Ness recently surprised fans with before-and-after photos of his dramatic weight loss transformation after revealing he uses a GLP-1 like Ozempic.
On Feb. 23, the Queer Eye star took to his Instagram Stories with an update on his weight-loss journey.
"Gonna be basic and post a before and after on the next slide," he wrote to followers in one segment. "Its [sic] weight related and I know that p----s people off so giving you a chance to skip here."
Van Ness, 37, continued, "I want to note glp-1s have been a huge help, I have also made major other changes. First was my diet obvs, second way way less alcohol, and finally group pilates which has been most pivotal."
The former Bravo personality added that his "mental health and overall feeling is a different universe" since a year ago.

"Overall though, I'm so proud of myself and want to share," Van Ness concluded. "Take what works for you & leave the rest."
The next slide showed grooming expert in two photos wearing black underwear (or short shorts)—with the image on the right showing a more recent, slimmed-down version of himself.

In January, Van Ness opened up on TikTok about using weight loss medication to help achieve his health goals. The Netflix star also revealed his binge eating disorder in the process.
"Alright, I have a confession to make," he said. "Yes, I am on a GLP1 or a weight loss medication."
In the video, Van Ness acknowledged he has "gained and lost weight several times very publicly" and realized he "needed a little bit of extra help."
"I was consistently making decisions that I regretted with compulsive eating and with binging that just left me feeling really not good, depressed and out of control," the celebrity hairstylist added.

He consulted a doctor because his "binge eating disorder was out of control" and started a GLP-1 medication in September 2024.
"For the first time in my life, I have had control over my food intake," Van Ness explained. "It has just helped me so massively."
