The Grammy winner performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9 ahead of the big game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs as several players, coaches and even President Donald Trump honored the flag.

Baptiste appeared at a piano — decorated with several multi-colored motifs and lines — in an all-black suit with several gold pins and silver jewelry. He played along while belting out the different notes of the national anthem.

Cameras captured Chiefs' coach Andy Reid paying his respects as he held his hat to his chest and Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts closing his eyes as they listened to Baptiste sing. A shot also showed Trump give a salute from his box midway through the song.

As Baptiste ended the song with a high note, the U.S. Marine Corps completed their fly by over the field. The broadcast also paid tribute to the U.S. first regiment corps of cadets, who were shown to be saluting in a brief clip.

Batiste's national anthem performance also featured an American Sign Language interpretation from Stephanie Nogueras.

At the time, he spoke to the outlet about planning to finalize his arrangement "the week before" the actual Super Bowl. "And then it's going to fly," he added.
