Jock Zonfrillo's widow honours their wedding anniversary in heartbreaking post

It’s been eight months since the celebrity chef passed away.

Jock Zonfrillo’s widow Lauren has commemorated her first wedding anniversary without her husband after his shock passing last year at the age of 46.

Taking to Instagram this week, Lauren shared a montage of photos of herself and Jock tying the knot on the beach in 2017.

The celebrity chef and former MasterChef judge is dressed in a blazer and traditional Scottish kilt as he beams from ear to ear posing next to his wife, who is wearing a white lace gown.

“Happy anniversary My Love,” Lauren captioned the post.

“Our dream of growing old together in the middle of nowhere in Italy - kids and dogs under our feet, you laughing your enormous laugh, falling asleep on your chest - is so vivid.

“That’s where I imagine you now.”

Followers quickly took to the comments to share messages of love and support, including Khanh Ong who said: “Love you guys. Sending you so much positivity. Big love. Happy new year. Here if you need a chat or a silly giggle.”

“Sending you all the love and strength to get through this… take it one day at a time,” one person wrote, followed by another who added, “You have him in your heart forever!”.

“Beautiful pictures that capture your true love. Sending strength to you all, you really are truly inspirational,” someone else replied.

Lauren's first Christmas without Jock

Lauren’s post comes shortly after she celebrated her first Christmas without Jock, which she described as “different” but with “no less love or excitement”.

“As much as I willed yesterday to be over, I can’t skip this chapter. The long list of firsts, I hear they get easier, I believe that to be true,” she captioned a video of her family on December 25.

“Watching our gorgeous children navigating their first Xmas, I can see now that tragedy will make them. It will make them fierce and fearless, they’ll have a strength no-one can quite put their finger on. And they will undoubtedly have a life bigger than the one Jock and I dreamt for them because of this. They’ll be stronger in the broken bits.”

Jock was found dead at 2am in Melbourne on May 1, the same day season 15 of MasterChef was set to premiere, after police received a call requesting a “welfare check”.

He is survived by his third wife, Lauren, and his four children, Alfie, Isla, Ava and Sophie.
