Jimmy Kimmel Offers Bold Suggestion to Will Smith Following Kanye West Grammys Drama

Jimmy Kimmel responded to Kanye West and Bianca Censori's now-infamous red carpet moment at the 2025 Grammys with a suggestion involving another celeb with a history of awards show drama.

On the Monday, Jan. 3 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the comedian brought up West and Censori's appearance at the Grammys on Sunday, where the couple made headlines for Censori's nearly-nude attire.

“Another rodent came out of his hole to hit the red carpet at the Grammys last night,” Kimmel began.

“None other than Kanye West, who showed up to take photos—he showed up for the red carpet only—with his wife, who caused quite a stir," he continued. "She was wearing nothing."

“This shows you just how much times have changed. Before Trump, this would’ve been our whole monologue tonight. Now it’s, like, the ninth craziest thing that happened this weekend," Kimmel joked before going on to point out that the “whole country melted down” back when Janet Jackson bared a nipple thanks to a wardrobe malfunction during her 2004 Super Bowl Halftime performance.

“Now a completely nude woman walks the red carpet at the Grammys, they’re yelling, ‘Bianca, over here on the right! Please,'” he quipped.

Noting that Will Smith—who famously slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022—was a presenter at the Grammys, Kimmel argued that Smith would have found a worthy target in West.

“The Grammys, they had him onstage honoring Quincy Jones,” he said.

“And you know what’s a shame? All he had to do was run out on that red carpet and slap Kanye. I think all would be forgiven. He would be hosting the Oscars next year.”

West himself responded to the uproar over Censori's attire, or lack thereof, in an Instagram post on Feb. 4, writing, "For clarity. February 4th 2025 My wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth."
