Jimmy Kimmel Hits Up Trump After Taylor Swift Super Bowl Beef
Jimmy Kimmel had Taylor Swift’s back in response to President Donald Trump’s latest Truth Social rants surrounding her Super Bowl appearance.
Swift, who endorsed Kamala Harris for president, was loudly booed during the Super Bowl when the jumobtron panned to the pop superstar. Trump posted in response, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Kimmel hit back at Trump in his monologue Monday, saying, “Well, she didn’t get booed out of the stadium. Unlike you, she stayed for the whole game, and it was the Eagles fans who were booing her.”
Kimmel added, “Trump’s just jealous of Taylor Swift because she has more followers and more money and no kids than he does.”
Both Kimmel and Swift have been longtime targets of Trump. Kimmel has been vocal in his opposition of the president while Swift has remained relatively quiet on the political landscape despite her endorsement of Harris.
Kimmel also covered Kanye West’s countless unhinged posts on X throughout Super Bowl Sunday.
“The other bit of Super Bowl lunacy came from Kanye West, who’s making a serious run at the title of Worst Person in the World,” Kimmel said.
He read some of West’s posts, which included declarations from the rapper that he was a “Nazi” and he “loved Hitler.”
“You know, you have to work pretty hard to make walking the Grammys red carpet with your naked wife the 12th craziest thing you did this week,“ Kimmel said, ”But somehow, Kanye managed to do it."
Kimmel brought up West’s posts defending Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was arrested in September 2024 for alleged sex trafficking.
Kimmel joked, “I like to imagine someone in Diddy’s camp showing up to visit him in prison on Sunday and going, ‘Oh, hey, Kanye’s tweeting that you should be free.’ And Diddy’s like, ‘Oh, really? That’s nice. What else did he say?’ ‘Ah, well, he said he’s a Nazi.’”
Kimmel also addressed West’s baffling Super Bowl commercial promoting his fashion brand Yeezy.
“How does he still have money?” Kimmel asked. “The commercial directed viewers to his website where he is selling, and this is not a joke, a swastika T-shirt for $20.”
Kimmel wondered, “At what point does [West] just change his name to Yadolf and be done for it?”
