Jimmy Fallon Mocks Trump's Wild New Grift With A Cringeworthy 'Campaign Ad'
A new “Tonight Show” bit makes fun of former President Donald Trump’s latest grift, a $100,000 gold watch.
“One thing I’ve noticed is that Trump and his Republican allies can’t stop talking about inflation and how bad the economy is, which makes this new Trump campaign ad a little confusing,” host Jimmy Fallon said during his Tuesday night monologue.
The mock ad features a voiceover by Fallon as Trump.
The narration goes:
“Despite what you read in the news, the economy is a disaster. Everyone knows it. You can’t buy bacon anymore. Gas prices are much higher than they were just a few decades ago, and a family of four would each have to work three full-time jobs in order to buy just one Trump gold watch for $100,000 — which, now that I’m saying it out loud, seems doable. It’s a great watch and in very limited quantities. So put granny and the kids to work and get your Trump watch today.”
Trump has been widely ridiculed for shilling the pricey “Trump Victory Tourbillion” timepieces, which supposedly each contain 122 diamonds and 18-karat gold.
