The Jess saga on MAFS is Ines 2.0 but worse
Some of us thought the drama on Married At First Sight would perhaps slow down a little after the Sam and Ines affair, but we’ve been proven wrong.
Tonight’s dinner party revealed that couple swapping and cheating hadn’t been thrown out of the MAFS dictionary, and the newest advocate was Mick’s wife, Jessika.
What’s more, she had her eyes on more than one man: Cyrell’s husband Nic, and intruder Tamara’s husband Dan.
“I’m very aware of my surroundings so it was something I noticed straight away,” Tamara tells Yahoo Lifestyle about Jess’ unapologetic flirting with Dan, right under her nose at the dinner party.
“It’s hard because I’m trying to work out whether I actually like this man and I want him to be my husband and then there’s somebody trying to move in,” continues Tamara.
“She was just a bit, I don’t know… all too much.”
Tamara makes it clear she doesn’t approve of Jess’ behaviour, and as far as she’s concerned, doesn’t want her husband to be involved with her in any sense.
“When it comes to couple swapping, that’s not something I’m about,” the reality star explains.
“I’m a very loyal person. I don’t agree with it. It’s not something I would personally get mixed up in.”
Tonight Jess appeared to be on quite a mission, firstly propositioning Cyrell’s husband, Nic.
“I’m sexually attracted to Nic. He’s a very good looking guy,” she told producers in a piece-to-camera.
Jess then asked Nic for a private conversation away from the dinner party, during which she made her feelings very known.
“Along the way I have sort of somewhat developed some sort of feelings towards you,” she said.
“I didn’t know this is what I was getting myself into coming into this conversation,” a rather awkward Nic responded, before he shut her down.
“There’s nothing I would do to jeopardise my marriage. I’m married and I’ve never been hit on like that,” he said.
“How am I hitting on you?” Jess then asked with an air of innocent about her.
But we all know, she’s not Miss Innocent.
“Come on Jess. You just propositioned him,” MAFS expert John Aiken even said while watching the footage roll out.
“She’s propositioned a married man,” fellow expert Trisha Stratford added.
So Jess failed to convince Nic to cheat on his partner, but that wasn’t stopping her from cheating on her own.
“I was definitely surprised by Nic’s reaction. I thought that I would get a different one,” she admitted in a piece-to-camera.
“Look, at the end of the day we are all married here but we’ve all come in here looking for love and if it’s not with our respective partners, there is the option to experience other husbands.
“If I want someone I can spend the rest of my life with, honestly if I have to hurt feelings along the way to get that, then so be it, that’s what I’ll do.”
Her pal Martha seemed to empathise.
“She wants to be wanted and I feel like there’s nothing wrong with that as a woman,” Martha told the camera.
“You want to be wanted. So now, anything that moves, she’s willing to go for it.”
Jess then positioned herself next to intruder Dan, flirting and even undoing the lace tie-ups on her dress like no one else is watching.
But his wife Tamara certainly was, and so was the rest of Australia.
This is not Ines 2.0, this is next level betrayal. And whatever happens next is not going to be good.
