In the first shot, Mollen cradled the pup in her arms as Jason looked down at the dog, his arm around his wife. The second photo showed Mollen and one of the couple's sons (whose face was covered) cuddling with the canine.

"Jason and I postponed our honeymoon to rescue The Gina Girl Dog from the South LA pound in April of 2008," Mollen wrote in the caption.

In 2020, Mollen opened up to People about the American Pie star's parenting skills.

"Jason is so hands on as a parent, almost too hands on," she told the outlet.

"I always say that he's like the guy that like, when I go scuba diving, he's the one like checking all my gear. He's like the buddy that never stops like futzing with you," she continued. "Or like if you're on a ski slope, he's like adjusting your goggles. Or if you're like on an airplane that's crashing, he's the person that you're like, just get the f--k away from me. Stop adjusting my oxygen mask. We're gonna crash anyway."
