Millennials, rejoice! The defining hairstyle of the early 200os – hi the side fringe! – is back and more elegant than ever. But don't just take my word for it because Jennifer Lopez recently subscribed to the Y2K beauty trend, making a case for bangs everywhere.

Over the weekend [January 26], JLo attended the premiere of her latest film, Kiss Of The Spider Woman. As expected, the actor went above and beyond in the fashion department, stepping out onto the red carpet donning a webbed naked dress. Arguably, however, what stole the show was her voluminous updo complete with the ultimate bouffant bangs.

The hairstyle itself is one that Pamela Anderson made a case for in the 90s, which, now, goes by the 'Pamela Anderson updo'. Here, Jen has put her own twist on the chignon, swapping out Pam's piece-y bangs for a chunky side fringe.

Is anyone else getting nostalgic flashbacks to their MySpace 'scene' phase? That said, Jen's take on the trend is, of course, much chicer than our high school yearbook hairstyles, making for a re-upped, 2025 version of a once emo-coded look. *Alexa, play Misery Business by Paramore*
