Jennifer Lopez Hung Out at Ben Affleck's House Hours Before the Golden Globes

Jennifer Lopez has cemented herself as a red carpet institution, thanks to all the iconic naked dresses and sparkling style moments she’s served over the years. So on Sunday, many viewers were surprised when the Unstoppable actress wasn’t spotted at the star-studded 2025 Golden Globe awards festivities. While Lopez channeled Marilyn Monroe at a pre-Golden Globes party the night before, she eschewed the Hollywood glamour and spent January 5 hanging out at ex-husband Ben Affleck’s house instead.

Per paparazzi photos shared by The Daily Mail, the multi-hyphenate could be seen wearing a light brown cropped long-sleeved shirt, her signature baggy jeans, and shearling Ugg slippers as she arrived at Affleck’s Brentwood home. According to the publication, she exchanged a hug with the Gone Girl actor’s son Samuel as Affleck and her child Emme came outside to greet her. The group then headed indoors to spend some time together.

Lopez and Affleck’s latest reunion comes after the former couple reportedly met up to exchange Christmas gifts at a Soho House lunch in December amid their ongoing divorce. However, sources have said that these hangouts are a sign that the exes are prioritizing an “amicable” relationship rather than a romantic reconciliation.

“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved,” a source told Page Six about their current dynamic. “Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids.”

“Obviously things haven’t been the same, but they have a lot of history,” they added, explaining that their “mutual respect” is not “something that goes away” overnight. Part of the estranged spouse’s continued closeness is also reportedly due to the fact that they have a “blended family” dynamic.

Affleck's younger children Seraphina and Samuel as well as Lopez's twins Emme and Max "attend the same school so they’re bound to spend time together,” the source added. "They’re still close with each other’s children, and even though they don’t have a co-parenting type of relationship, they still feel like a blended family in a lot of ways.”
