As Jennifer Lopez settles back into New York City life after an extended stay in the Hamptons, she’s reflecting on her favorite memories with her favorite people. Amid reports that the “On the Floor” singer and husband Ben Affleck are working through issues in their marriage, Lopez appeared to be feeling thankful for her support network as she shared a carousel of images dedicated to her kids. The star shared rare photos of her 16-year-old twins Emme and Max all grown up, as well as a throwback shot of them as toddlers.

“My whole heart 💚🤍,” Lopez sweetly captioned the Instagram carousel, which she shared on Sunday, July 28. In the first photo, which appeared to be taken from her 55th birthday festivities in the Hamptons sans Affleck, the multi-hyphenate could be seen wearing the green and white printed shirtdress paired with a waist-cinching white leather belt and sleek ponytail that she donned for a bike ride with her son on her birthday, July 24. The sweet mother-son shot showed a radiant Lopez beaming at her teen son, who wore white pajama-esque co-ords with “Max” printed on the front pocket.

The singer gave fans a glimpse of her relationship with Emme in a second photo, which appears to show Lopez with her mini-me during a Paris trip she took with the twins back in May. In the selfie, J.Lo wore oversized sunglasses, a messy updo, and a white T-shirt, while Emme went for a street style look with a striped mint button up, a pair of black headphones, and black earrings. Lopez was clearly feeling sentimental about when her twins were kids, as she shared a third and final photo of the pair as toddlers.

Lopez previously opened up about the “unconditional love” she has for her kids, whom she shares with ex Marc Anthony, back in 2020. “I know everybody feels this way about their kids, but I just feel like they’re super special,” she told People. “I can’t wait to see what they do.”

However, the star admitted that she found it a little more “challenging” parenting teens, especially with her and Affleck’s blended family.

"The teenage years are tough," she said in a 2023 interview on Live with Kelly and Mark. "It's challenging. You have this baby for a while and then it's like, your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it's like, 'Get out of my room.' "

She added, “They are challenging everything you say and everything you do and everything you are, and that's what it is. You have to kind of just ride the waves."
