Jenna Dewan Says Fiancé Steve Kazee Has Been 'Amazing' During Third Pregnancy as She Admits to Being 'More Tired' (Exclusive)

"He's constantly reminding me to rest," Dewan tells PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Mother's Day Celebration Presented by Aquaphor at The Grove

Jenna Dewan is praising her fiancé, Steve Kazee, for all his support during her third pregnancy.

While speaking with PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Mother's Day Celebration Presented by Aquaphor at The Grove, Dewan, 43, says Kazee, 48, has been nothing short of "amazing" as they wait for their new baby's arrival.

"He is really good with cravings and also amazing with helping out with Eve and Callum with their schedules. And he's constantly reminding me to rest, which is really nice. He's amazing in that way," Dewan says at the Tuesday, April 23, event.

The Rookie star, who shares 10-year-old Everly with her ex-husband Channing Tatum and shares 4-year-old Callum with Kazee, says she's "really excited" to expand their family.

"When I was a kid, I always had this vision — it was so specific. It was the Christmas tree around Christmas, and just kids and family and just chaos. Happy chaos all around," she recalls. "And I realized the other day, I was like, oh, in my own way, I am creating [that]. So that's exciting for me."

The actress adds that getting "to experience a bigger family is really exciting" after having grown up as an only child.

While she tells PEOPLE that she feels "great overall" as they get ready for "this next chapter," she admits that she's also been feeling "more tired."

"Third pregnancy while chasing two other kids around definitely makes you a little more tired. I find crawling into bed at 9 p.m. is definitely different this pregnancy. But overall, everything's been going well. And it's been wonderful. But I’m without a doubt a little bit more tired," she says.

Dewan says working with Baby2Baby — a national nonprofit that helps provide children living in poverty with basic necessities— is "absolutely incredible," calling Tuesday's Mother's Day celebration "the most heart-exploding event."

"It's just amazing to be able to give these mothers, a lot of single mothers, the opportunity to have what they shouldn't be in need of, which are essential items as a mother, as well as spoiling them a little bit on Mother's Day was so beautiful," she says.

Dewan tells PEOPLE "that there is an understanding once you become a mother, you realize what we all are going through."

"And to be able to lighten any of that for anyone at any point is really important," she adds. "And like I said, just to be able to give them this special day but also so that essential needs are not being wanted for, that they are provided for it. And that to me is – I can rest my head at night and know that I'm doing what I can to give back and pay it forward."
