Jenn Tran Says She and Jonathon Johnson Have 'Become So Much Closer' Since “The Bachelorette” (Exclusive)
The reality star told PEOPLE that she and Johnson are having "so much fun" together
Jenn Tran and Jonathon Johnson are two peas in a pod.
While attending the DirecTV Gets Real party hosted by DirecTV, PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly on Sept. 26, the reality star opened up about how she and Johnson have bonded since they both appeared on the 21st season of The Bachelorette.
Noting that they are having "so much fun" together, Tran — who had previously gotten engaged during the finale of the ABC series to Devin Strader — told PEOPLE, "It’s funny, because [you learn] so much more about the person after the show."
"There’s so many layers to uncover and things about them that you didn’t know, especially things that they were feeling in the moment on the show, and you’re like, ‘Wait, you weren’t feeling that way?' " she continued.
Added Tran, "So it’s so nice to know Jonathon even more after the show. We’ve become so much closer."

Tran and Strader broke up not long after a proposal in Hawaii. During the After The Final Rose special, the star told host Jesse Palmer, "As soon as we had left Hawaii, things were just different."
"It kind of just felt like he was pulling away all the promises that he had made to me — wanting to move somewhere together, and wanting to have this future planned out, and wanting to see each other all the time," she continued.

Tran detailed that she then got a call from Strader after not hearing from him, where he told her he wanted to break off the engagement. "[He said] he didn't love me anymore, feel the same way and felt like something had been off since the second thing he proposed. He regretted getting engaged," she explained.
Though Tran offered to work things out and move forward, the engagement was called off following the 15-minute phone call.
Tran later started appearing in Johnson's TikToks, which led to fans speculating about whether or not the two are dating.
They next stepped out together at PEOPLE's 50th birthday party at The Chain House in Los Angeles in September.
Later that same month, Tran caught up with PEOPLE at the season 33 premiere of Dancing with the Stars, where she opened up about her love life after Johnson was seen supporting her from the audience.
Responding after Johnson said he would say "yes" if Tran asked him on a date on a recent episode of The Viall Files, Tran said, “Honestly, Jonathan's been such an amazing friend of mine, and so great to have someone here in L.A. to support me and be such a rock for me."
"And my heart's just, right now, not in the space to date anybody, let alone Jonathan," she added. "But I'm just so excited to see where our friendship goes.”
