Jelly Roll Fans Are ‘Very Excited’ for Latest Career Update: 'Here for It’
Jelly Roll’s fans expressed delight this week after learning about a new development for his career in the entertainment industry.
As announced this week by Billboard, the “Son of a Sinner” singer will be appearing in an upcoming episode of the popular CBS drama Fire Country. The episode is expected to air on April 11.
In a promotional video that Billboard and the show both shared on Instagram on Friday, Jan. 31, show creator and star Max Thieriot announced, “Country music superstar Jelly Roll is making his acting debut on Fire Country.” Jelly Roll will be playing a healthcare worker named Noah, the caption for the promo video explained.
The clip then turned to the rapper-turned-country artist, who said, “From the stage to the fire line, it’s time to see if I can keep up.” The video ended with a view of Thieriot and Jelly Roll shaking hands.
Many of Jelly Roll’s fans were overjoyed by the news, with one writing, “Omg can’t wait! Let’s go 🔥🔥🔥” as another declared, “I’m here for it!🙌🏻🙌🏻.”
“Omg yessssss 😍 this is gonna be so good,” one fan predicted.
“I love this show and adding Jelly Roll makes it even better!! How awesome!!” another fan commented.
Excitement aside, there were some fans who objected to calling Jelly Roll’s forthcoming appearance on Fire Country his “acting debut.”
“He already had is acting debute [sic] on Tulsa King season2 episode2 🔥🔥,” one fan pointed out.
“He was in Tulsa king but ok,” another fan said as a third echoed, "He already did on Tulsa king.”
As fans pointed out, Jelly Roll made a brief cameo on the Paramount+ drama last fall. He played himself in a short scene with series star Sylvester Stallone before performing his song “I Am Not Okay” on the show.
