Jeff Bezos' Fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, Opts For Daring Look At Trump's Inauguration
Journalist Lauren Sánchez found herself on the receiving end of intense criticism after attending President Donald Trump’s inauguration in a lacy ensemble.
Sánchez was seated beside her fiancé, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at Trump’s swearing-in ceremony Monday.
She opted for a white blazer with a plunging neckline that revealed what appeared to be a lacy bustier underneath.
Sánchez has worn skin-baring designs on other high-profile occasions, including a White House state dinner hosted by former President Joe Biden in April of last year.
Still, her choice of a “lingerie-inspired” inauguration outfit was widely panned.
“She has no class. No dignity. No respect,” former Fox News host Megyn Kelly wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Another X user wrote: “Who’s going to tell her that she forgot her blouse.”
Others blasted Zuckerberg for appearing to get caught “sneaking in a peek” in a TMZ video of the ceremony.
“Zuckerberg’s masculine energy is ‘MUST LOOK AT BOOBS!’” one X user wrote, alluding to the Meta CEO’s headline-making interview on Joe Rogan’s podcast last week.
Those who focused on the neckline of the outfit, however, might have been missing the broader point.
Sánchez and Bezos’ appearance at the inauguration was, by all accounts, indicative of an overall shift toward Trump among many of the country’s tech billionaires.
All-white suits were also worn by incoming White House chief of staff Susie Wiles and influential Trump donor Miriam Adelson which, as The Cut suggested, could signal an effort among Republican women to reclaim the look from Democrats.
