Lauren Sanchez’s Busty Display Shocks Inauguration Onlookers as She and Jeff Bezos Support Trump
Lauren Sánchez made quite the fashion statement at the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump.
The 55-year-old journalist arrived in all white alongside her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, 61, at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C., on Monday for the 78-year-old’s historic swearing-in ceremony. However, her outfit choice raised eyebrows from those tuning into the event.
Dressed in a white blazer buttoned at the waist, Sánchez sported a lacy white bustier underneath.
Her outfit quickly became the talk of the internet with many X (formerly Twitter) users posting photos of her and deeming the ensemble inappropriate for the political event.
“Jeff Bezos future wife Lauren Sanchez is incredibly inappropriately dressed for a state occasion,” one X user wrote. “Someone should have told her that having her white lace bra out on display is not acceptable.”
Another simply wrote, “Is someone going to offer Lauren Sanchez a safety pin?”
Sánchez previously donned what appeared to be the same outfit in December, posting a selfie to Instagram with the caption, “Winter white.”
Sánchez and Bezos were among those in attendance as Trump became the 47th President of the United States.
Some, however, were not given a warm welcome. As Barack Obama, 63, Bill Clinton, 78, and Hillary Clinton, 77, entered the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, people at the Capitol One Arena could be heard loudly booing.
Barack’s wife, Michelle Obama, was noticeably absent. The former first lady made it clear before the inauguration that she would not attend Trump’s ceremony in which he was sworn in.
Michelle did not explain her decision to miss the inauguration, but several reports suggested it was because of her dislike of the 45th (and now 47th) president.
Before the inauguration, Michelle missed former President Jimmy Carter's state funeral, where she would apparently have been seated next to Trump. Her advisers said it was due to a scheduling conflict.
Four years ago, the 47th president and his wife, Melania Trump, missed Joe Biden's inauguration after President Trump refused to accept the election results.
