JD Vance’s Wife Usha Wears Snake Dress by Retrofête for Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve Party
Usha Vance embraced a wild pattern for the Mar-a-Lago New Year’s Eve party on Tuesday in Palm Beach, Fla. The wife of Vice President-elect JD Vance wore a snake-print dress by Retrofête, featuring a strapless design with a fitted bodice. The dress was covered with sequin embellishments in a snakeskin pattern.
This choice of attire marks a departure from Usha Vance’s typical style, which is characterized by more conservative choices. Her regular wardrobe often consists of straight-fit silhouettes and short-cropped sleeves. Her looks are predominantly monochromatic, favoring neutrals such as whites, creams and beiges.

In the past, Usha notably wore a cobalt blue off-the-shoulder ensemble for her speech at the Republican National Convention, a bow-adorned maroon jumpsuit for the vice presidential debate and an off-the-shoulder black evening gown for Donald Trump’s victory speech.
At the New Year’s eve party, Usha was accompanied by her husband, who donned a black tuxedo with a bow tie.
The New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago was attended by figures including Elon Musk and President-elect Donald Trump, who was accompanied by his wife, Melania Trump. Melania wore a black Versace gown, featuring a column silhouette, a style that aligns with her preference for streamlined fashion. The draped cowl neck balanced the rigid structure of the column shape. She accessorized with gold rings and black shoes.
Elon Musk’s mom, Maye Musk, also attended the event in a crystal-embellished suit with statement diamond earrings.
