JBH Is "So Excited" for Scarlett Johansson to Guest Co-Host 'Today'
Scarlett Johansson is moving from acting on the big screen to becoming a national TV host. Well, sort of.
On January 7, fans of the Today show learned the upcoming Jurassic World: Rebirth star will be a celebrity guest co-host for the series' new fourth hour show, Today With Jenna and Friends (which begins January 13, following Hoda Kotb's Today exit on January 10).
From January 21 through January 24, Scarlett will sit alongside permanent host Jenna Bush Hager as they talk about what's current in pop culture, fun trends on social media and maybe even interview a celebrity or two about their latest projects. What's more, Today's current fourth hour show Tosay With Hoda and Jenna got in on the action by posting a fun texting announcement on Instagram.
"We’re so excited to share that Scarlett Johansson will be joining @jennabhager to co-host #JennaandFriends Jan. 21 - 24!" read the caption.
Given how Scarlett is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood at the moment, seeing the news of her being on Today had fans ecstatic online.
"The girls are girling!!!!" one person wrote in the comments. "Say what!!?? Omg. I will be glued to my seat as I always am with your show," another exclaimed. "YES! She will be terrific!! ❤️," a different follower added.
So, how does Jenna feel about Scarlett joining her at the Today show table as a co-host? As she told Hoda live on the air on January 8, she's excited about the collaboration... and the things the two have in store for that week.
"I'm so excited!" she excitedly stated in a clip posted on YouTube. "Scarlett is going to be here the whole second week, and she's been amazing. We have so many fun things planned. We're gonna have fun. I think we're gonna have a blast."
It's also cool to note Scarlett isn't the only celebrity joining Jenna in the inaugural month of Jenna and Friends. For the fourth hour's kickoff week beginning January 13, folks can see Jenna sit alongside actresses Eva Longoria, Taraji P. Henson and Keke Palmer in the rotating role of co-host.
Well, if this is what Jenna is teasing, we can't wait to see what she and Scarlett have cooked up for Today viewers!
