Jason Momoa Turns 45: How Girlfriend Adria Arjona 'Makes Him Happy' in Their 'Adventurous' Relationship

A source says the actor is "happy" and "spends a lot of time with" Adria Arjona

Jason Momoa is enjoying life as he celebrates his 45th birthday.

A source tells PEOPLE the Aquaman actor is "great" and "doesn't mind getting older — his attitude is usually 'Life’s great!' "

Smiling in a photo on Instagram this week while touting his vodka brand Meili, Momoa wrote, "Farewell 44 ... This year is gonna be WILD. lots of surprises See u soon world Aloha."

The star keeps "very involved with" his Meili company, says the source. "He loves entrepreneurship and is very dedicated. He even designed the bottles from recycled glass with a Polynesian tattoo feature. Jason is also super environmentally conscious and his brand reflects this. Building a brand is new for him and it's something he very much enjoys."

The source adds that Momoa also "spends a lot of time with" girlfriend Adria Arjona, the 32-year-old actress from Hit Man and the upcoming Blink Twice thriller directed by Zoë Kravitz.

"She makes him happy. She's very adventurous and down-to-earth as well," says the source. "They love the outdoors and enjoy motorcycle rides."

Momoa was previously married to Lisa Bonet, though the pair announced their split in January 2022 and filed for divorce by January 2024. They share two kids.

Momoa and Arjona met as costars in the Netflix film Sweet Girl.

Momoa first sent the internet abuzz with word of a new beau in May, when he was asked by a fan about his relationship status while on a panel at Basingstoke Comic Con.

“I am very much in a relationship,” he responded, captured in a video posted to X.

“And what relationship is that?” the fan continued. “With whom I might ask? We want to know.” But Momoa kept the audience in suspense, replying, “You’ll find out very soon,” adding that he had “been in a relationship for a while.”

Just over a week later, on May 20, the pair finally went public. In one photo from a carousel shared to Instagram by the actor documenting a recent trip to Japan, the two could be seen hugging while out to dinner. In another set against the open water, the two shared ear-to-ear grins while their hair whipped in the wind.

“we’re so thankful for everyone who opened their homes, making memories with new friends and old friends, sharing another amazing adventure with mi amor,” Momoa captioned the post.

Later that month, a source gave more insight into Momoa’s relationship with the actress, telling PEOPLE, “It's real.”

“He cares about her,” the source said. “She's good to him — and a lovely and genuine person and real like he is. She has a good sense of humor and is easy to be with. They relate to each other."

Also in May, Momoa and Arjona were spotted sharing a kiss while during a night out on the town in Nashville, captured in footage shared by TMZ May 22.

The actor also made a rare public comment about his girlfriend at the Los Angeles premiere of The Bikeriders in June, telling Entertainment Tonight that they share a love of motorcycles.

“My lady likes to ride,” he said to the outlet. "Any excuse for more hugs."
