Jason Kelce Blames Taylor Swift Fans for Sending 'New Heights' Segment Into Chaos

Jason Kelce is airing his grievances with Taylor Swift's fans—specifically, the group of them that have also turned into New Heights listeners.

During the Wednesday, Oct. 2 episode of the sports podcast, which he cohosts alongside his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center expressed his gripes while the duo discussed classic films.

The brothers previously mentioned that they want to start a New Heights Film Club, where they'll commit to watching movies and rating them. Gathering ideas from their "92 percenters" on what they should add to their list, they began rattling off several titles, noting that they'll review the winning movie after it's put to a vote.

Narrowing down the fan picks, which included Space Balls, Remember the Titans, Kazam, Love Actually, Necessary Roughness, and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Jason immediately became triggered by the final film's title (though he admitted to never having seen it), suggesting that they replace it with Sister Act, or even better, according to Travis, Sister Act 2.

The Goonies, My Best Friend's Wedding, Parent Trap, Bridget Jones' Diary, Heavyweights, and Swiss Family Robinson were also among the movies in the lineup.

But at some point during the chat, Jason became audibly flustered and slightly agitated with the amount of "chick flicks" that were mentioned, immediately blaming their new audience demographic for the choices.

"We gotta pick from these?" Jason asked, adding, "These aren't my favorite that were submitted."

"It's not up to you, Jason!" Travis scolded, keeping the fans at top of mind.

"There's just a lot of chick flicks—we got a lot of Swifties trying to make us watch bad movies," Jason retorted, met with laughter by his brother.

While deciphering which would be the final options to add to the ballot, the dad of three questioned, "Bridget Jones' Diary?"

"I mean, I'll watch it," Travis said. "I don't have a problem with any of these, Jason. I will watch whatever one."

"I don't have a problem with them, either, but if we put one of these chick flicks on there it's gonna f-----g win," Jason added, alluding to the power of the Taylor Swift effect.

After much back and forth, the NFL brothers finally settled on four films—two of Travis' picks and two of Jason's—to be voted on for them to watch and review, so fans invested in this entertaining conversation can look forward to their future feedback!
