Jane Wade Takes Corporate Greed Head-on for Spring 2025
Jane Wade’s fascination with corporate culture was the inspiration for her spring 2025 collection, called “The Audit,” specifically looking at corporate greed.
“We are auditing that culture of corporate America,” the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee said. “Essentially what the collection is, there’s been a leak inside the Jane Wade Corp. As the show rolls out, you’ll see all of the employees of Jane Wade Corp — you’ll see a receptionist, the head of security, you’ll see this full paper gown is the evidence — so it’s a bit about the theme and how we approached the design process.”

Wade offered her own fresh perspective on corporate wear with pieces like updates to her dress shirts, as seen in reworked poplin styles with draped construction or double cuff details, as well as loose-fitting hybrid trouser boxers, poplin ballgowns and boxy suiting.
“Each collection is an evolution of the next one and we’re always studying these themes within corporate culture,” she said. “I’m fascinated by corporate fashion and corporate culture in general because it can have this feeling of being so mundane and monotonous. So really digging into the characteristics of those people and all of the accessories they might be wearing to aid their everyday life.”
Wade took on corporate wear’s monotony with silhouettes like a cutout suit paired with denim chaps, a high-low gown created from shredded paper and several chainmail styles. The pieces showed her strength in updating corporate wear with streetwear references and playful touches that made them youthful and unique.
The collection was an exciting showcase of Wade’s corporate wear vision and how she can take that into future collections.
