Jamie Oliver Expands Tastemade Presence in New Fremantle Deal (EXCLUSIVE)

Food and lifestyle media company Tastemade is expanding its partnership with Fremantle, snagging three premium series featuring culinary powerhouse Jamie Oliver for its streaming platforms.

The new deal, which marks the second collaboration between the companies within a year, brings Oliver’s latest venture “Jamie Oliver: Seasons” exclusively to U.S. audiences through Tastemade’s streaming service. The acquisition also includes “Jamie: Fast and Simple” and the travel-centric “Jamie Cooks Italy.”

The rollout begins April 7 with “Jamie Oliver: Seasons,” where the celebrated chef explores sustainable cooking through the calendar year. “Jamie: Fast and Simple” follows on April 10, offering viewers streamlined cooking solutions, while the wanderlust-inducing “Jamie Cooks Italy” debuts April 28 as part of Tastemade’s Road Trip programming block.

In “Jamie Cooks Italy,” Oliver teams up with longtime friend and mentor Gennaro Contaldo for a culinary expedition from Sicily to the Alps, uncovering traditional recipes from local matriarchs. “Jamie: Fast and Simple” promises kitchen solutions with prep times ranging from five to 30 minutes, while “Seasons” focuses on sustainable ingredients and environmentally conscious cooking practices.

This fresh content grab follows last July’s successful licensing of six Oliver-fronted series, which have reportedly delivered strong viewership across Tastemade’s streaming channels throughout 2024.

In a move to sweeten the pot for potential subscribers, Tastemade is offering new annual Tastemade+ members a complimentary Jamie Oliver cookbook. The subscription provides ad-free access to over 1,000 hours of programming and an extensive recipe database exceeding 12,000 entries.

While “Jamie Cooks Italy” will enjoy dual distribution on both Tastemade’s main channel and Tastemade Travel, all three series will be available ad-free to Tastemade+ subscribers through the company’s dedicated app. The content will also stream with ads on Tastemade’s free, widely distributed channels.
