Jamie Lee Curtis Gets 'Perfect Birthday Wake-Up' from Husband Christopher Guest: Take a Peek at Her Cake!
The star said she and her husband dove into the cake "with two small champagne flutes" to start the day
Jaime Lee Curtis' birthday got off to a great start.
The actress shared a photo on Instagram of the birthday cake from her husband Christopher Guest on Friday, Nov. 22. The cake came decorated with a candle and "Happy Birthday JLC!" written in red.
"Perfect birthday wake up," Curtis, now 66, began in the caption. "3:45. Warm, quiet house. Soft pup. Sleeping husband. Connecting to my world."
Curtis and Guest started dating in 1984 and were married by the end of that year. Their 40th wedding anniversary is on the horizon, Dec. 18.
She continued in her caption, "He wakes up and brings up a birthday cake. Dive down into it with two small champagne flutes. Blow candle."
The actress highlighted the artist who made the bowl, Moye Thompson, and added the poem written on the bowl's exterior — "To be of use" by Marge Piercy — in the post's caption.

Curtis spoke on the Today show in January about how she's embracing aging. "Sixty-five is a moment of reflection and excitement," she said at the time. "So, for me, I feel more excited, more turned on creatively. I have a new book. I'm heading to go make a movie. I got to be in a TV show. I'm having a creative time."
"I'm much less hard on myself," she continued. "I'm very much in acceptance of what I look like and I own what I think and feel. And that, to me, is what maturity is."

In another Friday post, jointly shared with Ellen K. and KOST 1035 FM, Curtis shared a video herself and friends dipping into another cake — this one with just "Jamie" written on top and the sides encrusted with rainbow sprinkles.
The actress shared one more sweet birthday tribute from Sara Cunningham, which drew Curtis' "first birthday tears," she said in the caption.
In the caption of a selfie between the two women, Cunningham wrote, "Join me in wishing a very Happy birthday to Jaime Lee Curtis. A true champion for all."
