Their engagement comes roughly two months after sources confirmed Batalon’s Spider-Man costars Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged on Jan. 6.

While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in a December 2021 joint interview ahead of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Batalon had nothing but great things to say about his bromance with the British actor, also 28.

"Jacob ended up moving in with me when we filmed the first movie," Holland added, mentioning that he and Batalon were roommates in Atlanta. "I have a scrapbook of Polaroids of us just living in that house and what we got up to. God forbid that scrapbook ever gets out!"

While also discussing the closeness between castmates, Holland told PEOPLE, "[Fame] takes a while for a young kid to figure out. We were lucky that we had each other going through the same thing at the same time. Zendaya was our leader in that sense. All of us are a little family; we all lean on each other."
